A childhood electroclinical syndrome characterized by partial seizures involving the rolandic area of the brain and electroencephalographic centrotemporal sharp waves.

Signs and symptoms

  • Bilateral tonic-clonic seizure with focal onset
  • Nocturnal seizures
  • Focal-onset seizure
  • EEG with centrotemporal focal spike waves
