Gradual loss of kidney function, often from diabetes or high blood pressure. Early stages usually have no symptoms.

A kidney failure that is characterized by the gradual loss of kidney function, present for a minimum of 3 months. CKD is classified based on cause, glomerular filtration rate (GFR) category (G2-G5), and albuminuria category (A1-A3).
