congenital stromal corneal dystrophy

A stromal dystrophy that is characterized by the presence of bilateral corneal opacities that can be seen at or shortly after birth.

Signs and symptoms

• Corneal dystrophy
• Progressive visual loss
• Increased corneal thickness
• Strabismus
• Glaucoma
• Band-shaped corneal dystrophy
• Photophobia
• Corneal erosion
