Dandy-Walker syndrome

A cerebellar disease that is characterized by hypoplasia and upward rotation of the cerebellar vermis and cystic dilation of the fourth ventricle.
Signs and symptoms
- Cranial nerve paralysis
- Truncal ataxia
- Nystagmus
- Dilated fourth ventricle
- Hydrocephalus
- Thinning and bulging of the posterior fossa bones
- Posterior fossa cyst at the fourth ventricle
- Elevated imprint of the transverse sinuses
- Partial absence of cerebellar vermis
- Agenesis of cerebellar vermis
