Gilbert syndrome

A bilirubin metabolic disorder that involves elevated levels of unconjugated bilirubin as bilirubin is not being conjugated as a result of reduced glucuronyltransferase activity.

Signs and symptoms

• Unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia
• Jaundice
• Hepatic failure
• Elevated circulating hepatic transaminase concentration
