open-angle glaucoma

A glaucoma characterized by optic nerve damage resulting in progressive loss of visual field and increased pressure in the eye due to trabecular blockage.

Signs and symptoms

• Visual field defect
• Ocular hypertension
• Open angle glaucoma
• Increased cup-to-disc ratio
• Glaucomatous visual field defect
• Constriction of peripheral visual field
• Reduced visual acuity
• Nuclear cataract
