systemic lupus erythematosus

A lupus erythematosus that is an inflammation of connective tissue marked by skin rashes, joint pain and swelling, inflammation of the kidneys and inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart.

• Decreased circulating complement C3 concentration
• Antinuclear antibody positivity
• Decreased circulating complement C4 concentration
• Anti-dsDNA antibody positivity
• Arthritis
• Malar rash
• Cutaneous photosensitivity
• Lupus nephritis
• Perinuclear antineutrophil antibody positivity
• Abnormality of the immune system
