Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome

A syndrome that is characterized by abnormal immune system function and a reduced ability to form blood clots resulting from a decrease in the number and size of blood cell fragments involved in clotting (microthrombocytopenia).

Signs and symptoms

• Bone marrow maturation arrest
• Iron deficiency anemia
• Glycosuria
• Anti-insulin antibody positivity
• Bone marrow hypocellularity
• Anti-GAD65 antibody
• Cough
• Decreased transferrin saturation
• Petechiae
• Recurrent upper respiratory tract infections
